Meta Logar at the CityDNA Summer School

Meta Logar from the GR Ljubljana team took part in the 40th anniversary edition of the CityDNA Summer School in Dijon, bringing together 50 professionals from 17 European countries for an intensive exchange of knowledge and insights into the meetings industry.

Turning knowledge into practice

From 24 to 28 August 2026, Dijon, France, hosted the 40th CityDNA Summer School, one of the key educational programmes organised by the City Destinations Alliance for professionals in the international meetings industry. GR Ljubljana Congress and Convention Centre was represented by Meta Logar.

The programme covered many of the topics shaping today’s meetings industry, from preparing successful bids for international congresses and developing new business opportunities to working with associations, corporate clients and Professional Congress Organisers (PCOs). Particular attention was also given to sustainability, equity, diversity and inclusion, the long-term legacy of events, and the growing role of technology and artificial intelligence.

Ljubljana and Slovenia connecting in Dijon

This year’s CityDNA Summer School brought together 50 participants from 17 European countries and 14 international faculty members, making the exchange of best practices, experiences and new professional connections an important part of the programme.

Alongside GR Ljubljana, Slovenia was also represented by colleagues from Visit Ljubljana, the Slovenian Convention Bureau and HIT. Their presence provided another valuable opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience while strengthening the expertise that supports Ljubljana and Slovenia in the international meetings market.
